PExOD is under continuous development. We are always adding new features, responding to users requests and fixing problems.

Most recent revisions focus on the public side of PExOD - the website that PExOD can optionally drive. Based on a nifty architecture (AJAX-based Service-Oriented Architecture, for the technically curious) we have added rich promotional abilities, including a Best-Seller List, Events and News-Releases, Featured Titles, Newsletter Subscription List, and not to mention a built-in shopping cart with support for processing credit card transactions or to link to a fullfilment agent of your choosing.

Additionally, we have updated ONIX 2.1 support for Sets, Series and Imprints.

Web-based
PExOD is a web-based application. It runs on a server ( your's or your ISP's ) and you use it via your web-browser. You can use it from anywhere and that everyone has access to the data that they need and are responsible for maintaining.

Exports
PExOD is a Booknet Canada Gold Certified ONIX exporter, which means that publishers can export 'extended' data to aggregators, which includes promotional information, in addition to the core bibliographic data. Not only does PExOD prevent exporting invalid ONIX (unlike other solutions such as ANKO), but you can use the built-in filter to automatically verify that your data meets the Booknet Canada Silver Standard.

However, if you need to just get your data out, PExOD supports an un-rated ONIX 2.1 export.

PExOD also exports ONIX 1.1 for those slow-to-adapt aggregators that can't process ONIX 2.1.

PExOD exports to CIP / National Library.

PExOD can export either short or long-tag ONIX. Short-tag ONIX is especially useful for some agreggators which cannot accept long-tag ONIX. While long-tag ONIX is the format that is humanly readable.
